Dr. Michal Marszewski joined the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Toledo as an Assistant Professor in January 2021. His research focuses on the design and synthesis of nanoporous materials for energy and environmental applications.
Prior to his current role, Dr. Marszewski served as a Postdoctoral Scholar at UCLA, where he developed transparent mesoporous silica for energy-efficient window insulation. He earned his PhD from Kent State University, specializing in highly porous crystalline titania photocatalysts, and holds a combined BSc/MSc from the Military University of Technology in Warsaw.
With over 43 peer-reviewed publications and two patent applications, Dr. Marszewski’s work sits at the intersection of chemistry, materials science, and nanotechnology.
